About NAARRI
National Association for Application of Radioisotopes and Radiation in Industry (NAARRI), a professional body founded in India in 1976 has been a pioneer in reinforcing interaction among atomic energy institutions, innovators and business entrepreneurs engaged in employing radioisotope and radiation technologies for socio-economic benefits. With the support of over 1300 life members, 50 institutional life members and robust interactions with international associations, NAARRI has been engaged in promulgating radiation technologies worldwide through organizing national and international conferences, seminars, symposia training programmes and workshops. NAARRI has successfully organized 7 international conferences, the most recent being NICSTAR-2018 held in Mumbai, India, which provided an excellent platform for enhancing scientific, business and personal links among R&D professionals, industry and end users leading to technological growth and economic opportunities for the participants.
Activities of NAARRI
Technical Bulletins
NAARRI publishes its newsletter containing the recent developments in the applications of radioisotopes and radiation technology. The thematic bulletins published by NAARRI are being widely acclaimed as the best reference material by the scientific community in the field. The recently published book on “Safety, Security and Regulations in Handling Radiation Sources” will go a long way in this direction.
Conferences and Seminars
NAARRI organises national conference & seminar on a regular bases. It has also organized six International Conferences during the year 1984, 1994, 1998, 2001, 2010, 2015 and 2018. A large number of scientists and technologists from all over India and also from different parts of the world participated in these conferences.
Awareness Programs and Training Courses
NAARRI has been organizing Awareness Programmes regularly in different parts of our India. The target audience for these programmes have been graduate/post graduate students, faculty members from various Universities, research scholars and NGO's. Applications of Radioisotopes and Radiation Technology in health care, agriculture, industry, food processing etc have been highlighted in these programmes by arranging lectures by eminent personalities in the respective fields.
Founded as a professional body in the year 1976.
